- How does CinchLink differ from others?
We differ in three ways:

We deliver
web marketing, not just website design: This
includes understanding your business, and making sure that
your business goals and marketing goals are incorporated in
our planning.

on-time: if time is important, we can have a
starter website up and running within two weeks of receiving
your go-ahead and content.

within your budget. Those with an unlimited budget
can probably get an "ultimate" web site from another firm.
Customers consider us because we work within a budget, and
provide measurable results.

How long have you
been in this business?

We have been based
in Pittsford, NY for six years. Our studio-office is
just east of the Village of Pittsford, north of the
Pittsford post office. We have facilities for small
meetings, including video and audio conferencing.
Prior to that we have over a dozen years experience with
Xerox and AT&T in sales, product marketing, sales
management, and strategic marketing planning.

Do you have any
references?

Do you charge for a
quote?

No. Usually
after a phone call, and an hour meeting, we can prepare a
quote. If your site requires extensive outside
contractual services, that needs to be taken into account.

How does payment
work?

After an initial
no-cost meeting where we scope the job, I provide you with a
quote. After a down payment, including any purchased
services, we'll get to work. We can bill you on a
monthly basis, or as the job progresses. See our

What do you do
besides web sites?

With the arrival
of "Web 2.0", web sites are merging into part of a large
social internet experience. We can help with blogs,
telemarketing, direct mail, "Pay Per Click" - PPC
advertising on Google, Yahoo, and other firms, video and
audio podcasting, and more. Plus, we take care of
operating details of email, spam control, and hosting.
If you need photography, image editing, and video work
(including DVD creation), give us a call with your ideas.

SEO - Search
Engine Optimization - is the art of getting your web site
near the top of search engine rankings, such as Google.
We do well with this. For example, do a Google search
for "Pittsford NY Business Website". Or
click here to do it automatically. Then call the
first company that appears in the free listings.

Is there a
guarantee?

What does a website
cost?

Some small
business sites have a minimum operating charge of about 50
cents per day: $180/year. Additional one-time charges
include setup charges for layout, design, editing, testing,
and posting. They run from about $200 for a one-page
"Yellow Pages" type site, to $3,000 for a six page fully
customized static site. Dynamic sites, with inventory
control, shopping carts, and more can be purchased or
rented, and require more discussion.

How long does it
take?

A small site can
be up and running within 10 business days after we receive
your down payment, and approved content. Most larger
sites take four to 10 weeks to develop detailed content, and
fully test the site.

I don't have a
current "Marketing Plan" or "Business Plan". Are these
really needed?

Yes. But
they can be a one-page document. For you to be
satisfied, you'll want to document the way to create
interest, to quickly respond to inquiries, have skilled
people to handle the service you are providing, and know
what to charge, so you can cover your expenses. There
are numerous sources for this information on the web, as
well as from our Federal Government's

Can I maintain the
site myself, without paying you for changes?
